This week I thought I'd post videos from various stages of the production. I thought it might be interesting to see how much the short evolved over the process.
The very first story reel.
Here's the very first reel we put together.
The final story reel before we went into production.
This is the final story animatic that we sent into layout. Temp sfx and music have been added to start to define a mood.
3D layout pass.
This is the first layout pass. We're really trying to make the storyboards work and we're adding shots the we feel we might need.

This is an IP (in progress) version. There's a mix of rough animation and layout tweaks.

One of the things we weren't able to get to is camera polish. We planned to animate the camera to give them a handheld feel. It would have added so much! Maybe next time.
